Some things are out of our control. Others are in our control. Thus, when speaking about mould, there are many things we can do.
One: Root causes. Find them. A good place to start: Jim’s Building Inspections. When mould is found by experts it’s easier to conquer.
Two: Use what you have at your disposal. Tim McKibbin from the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) urges that we use our common sense. “So if there is an exhaust fan in the bathroom, use it,” for example. And: “If you are able to leave a window open, most bathrooms will have some sort of a window available to them to let fresh air in.”
Three: Ask the experts. Yes. Asking a professional from Jim’s Building Inspections for advice in person at your place is progress. Never feel that your questions are too stupid.
