Benefits of a Building Inspection Report

A building inspection report is designed to give you independent and objective advice about the physical state of a building. This advice enables you to make an informed decision, usually about whether to purchase a property or not.

Building inspection reports are mainly carried out for the purpose of risk management, specifically with relation to: new construction management, dispute resolution, insurance claims, compliance with legislation and regulations. Additionally, building inspection reports help to inform renovation and extension decisions.

Pre Purchase Building Inspections

Pre purchase building inspections (also known simply as a building inspection report) are the most common report type in %%STATE%%. These reports are used by people who wish to purchase a property and want to ensure the quality of the building before considering the property or agreeing on a final price. These reports can also act as a safety net for the potential buyer and may also be used in post-sale cooling off period if terms are subject to building inspection.
