I started in the building industry right after school, completing my carpentry apprenticeship in New Zealand. This foundation allowed me to progress in bothdomestic and commercial construction. When I moved to Brisbane in 1989, I worked as a carpenter for a commercial builder for two years before establishing my own residential building company. For the past 32 years, I’ve run my own construction business in Australia, where I’ve built the wide range of skills needed to sustain a small business and keep clients satisfied.

Throughout my career, I’ve successfully managed challenging projects, delivering them on time and within budget, often under difficult conditions—an inevitable part of this industry. I’ve always approached every project with a personal commitment to quality, prioritizing attention to detail.

This dedication naturally led me to transition into a career as a building inspector. I decided to invest in a Jim’s franchise, as their model offers the ideal platform for me to leverage my skills in a professional setting with the backing of a respected brand and support team.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, and both road and mountain biking.
